The Kiwi family
Kiwi is good for you
The constant search for new Zespri Kiwis
The Zespri Gold illustrates it perfectly: innovation runs in Zespri’s veins. Our experts are permanently looking for new varieties that are even more delicious, contain more vitamins, can be kept for longer, etc. As a matter of fact, a couple of new Zespri Kiwis will be in your store shortly!
How do we develop new kiwis?
Kiwis in all their shapes and sizes
The green and yellow kiwis you find in your fruit and vegetable store are the best-known members of the Actinidia family, a genus comprising several hundred climbing plants. But did you know that this family produces many more types of kiwi? There are large kiwis (up to 200g!) and very small ones (2g), and kiwis with short hair or very long hair. And there are also kiwis with different types of flesh.

Zespri kiwis
If you’re into a refreshing, zesty taste, then the Zespri Green is bound to be your thing. If, however, you’re keener on a sweet, slightly tropical taste, then you’ll be crazy about the Zespri Gold. By the way, both the green and gold kiwi varieties are available in the organic category, under the name Zespri Organic
