Children need enough nutrients to promote their growth as well as fuel active play and learning, so providing them with plenty of healthy food is vital to give them the best possible start in life. Vitamin C is a water‐soluble nutrient which means whatever is not used in the body on a daily basis is excreted.1 Because of this, vitamin C cannot be stored in the body and must be replenished on a regular basis.1

Luckily, Zespri Green kiwifruit are exceptionally high in vitamin C.3 In fact, at 85 mg vitamin C per 100 g, Zespri Green kiwifruit are one of the most highly concentrated sources of vitamin C – that’s even more vitamin C than oranges and strawberries!3,4  And because of their high vitamin C content, kiwifruit have been proven to improve vitality and reduce feelings of tiredness2 – helping your child concentrate at school and have more vitality for play!

Top tip: Don’t worry if your child is having more vitamin C than required, as any excess that isn’t used up by the body is excreted.
